Gecko Units consists of 3 Fully Equipped Self-Catering Units, a semi-self-catering luxury family suite as well as a large and spacious 3 and a half bedroom unit situated ±100m from the beachfront in a lovely suburb of Port Elizabeth called Bluewater Bay.
We are about 13km from the city centre on the beachfront, 15 minute drive to the University, 1.8km to the shopping centre & near the N2 highway. Approximately 30 minute drive from the Eastern Cape attractions; Shamwari Game Park, Addo Elephant Park as well as the Seaview Lion Park.GPS co-ordinates: 33°51’29.58″S – 25°38’05.12″E
We offer free Wi-Fi in all units. Please enquire at the time of booking for any needed settings or passwords.
Our Accommodation is therefore not only suitable for the tourist and holidaymaker but also for the business person who sometimes needs time in the privacy of his own accommodation.

The house has an extended balcony with entrances to the lounge as well as 3 of the bedrooms.

Every unit has its own fridge/freezer, and the main house has a large double door fridge/freezer.

Each unit is fitted with a microwave.

Each unit has its own private bathroom. Each room in the main house is en-suite with a private bathroom. 3 Bathrooms have baths as well.

Check-in time is 14h00. Check-out is at 10h00.
Cancellation Policy
50% Deposit required to secure booking. Please note, the deposit is non refundable for bookings cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
House Rules
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the units.
No loud music/noise after 22h00 will be allowed.

We are about 13km from the city centre on the beachfront, a 15 minute drive to the University, 1.8km to the shopping centre & near the N2 highway. There are many Eastern Cape attractions; Shamwari Game Park, Addo Elephant Park as well as the Seaview Lion Park and many more nearby attractions for you to enjoy.

There are various take-aways within 1.8km to choose from.
Should you opt for something more classy, slightly further into town, Gqeberha boasts many incredible restaurants ranging from beautiful Beachfront settings to delicious fisheries, family restaurants and five star romantic restaurants like The Coachman.
Sight Seeing
While out on an adventure, enjoy the beauty of our wildlife in South Africa be it in the bush or out at sea. Or simply visit the beautiful Sardinia Bay for exquisite views while browning in the African sun.
Don’t forget to take a walk on the well-known Pier stretching out over the ocean with incredible views to enjoy.
Adventure
Take an island cruise to the Dolphin, Whale & Penguin Island, Go on a zip-line adventure with Adrenaline Addo, opt for a romantic sunset cruise, go on a Segway tour along the beachfront or go scuba diving. If you prefer spending time on horseback, enjoy an exciting horsetrail nearby.

There are several bars in and around Gqeberha for all tastes and likes for instance the Beer Shack, Barn & Barrel, Keg & Swan, Tiger’s Milk and many more.
Shows & Entertainment
In the heart of Summerstrand on the beachfront, you will find the Boardwalk Casino (21km) providing entertainment as well as occassional shows for those who enjoy live entertainment and the nightlife.
For the kids enjoyment, during the summer months the Water Parks are the places to be.
Movies and bowling is another option for those cooler days at Baywest Mall outside Gqeberha.
Biking & Hiking
A few biking as well as Hiking trails are available to be enjoyed in and around Port Elizabeth and in surrounding reserves.
Day Trips
The most incredible daytrips are to be had to the Seaview Lion Park, Addo Elephant Park, Shamwari Game Reserve, Kragga Kamma Game Park to name but a few.
